We bring the pollinators to YOU! Bee The Change specializes in installing native bees like Mason Bees and Leaf Cutter Bees right in peoples backyards. We also offer landscape design and ecological landscape maintenance services to ensure that your gardens and pollinator habitats are supported in a wholistic way. At Bee The Change we believe that individual action leads to meaningful collective impacts! We invite you to join our community of urban environmental stewards who want to take small, sustainable action towards making every piece of our urban landscapes a force for good!
While most people are familiar with social bees, such as honey bees and bumble bees, the vast majority of bees live a solitary life -- each female building her own nest, provisioning her own brood, and laying her own eggs. Our Native Bees are fascinating creatures! They are diverse, intelligent, and adaptable. They are also exceptionally important pollinators. About 90% of flowering plants rely on insects for pollination and the vast majority of our fruits and vegetables rely on bees for pollination. These “solitary bees” are the focus of our 2024 Mason Bee Program. At Bee The Change, we work with you to create beautiful outdoor habitats that enrich your connection to your garden, your local environment and of course, the bees. Hosting native pollinators like Mason Bees, is a powerful way to have a positive impact on the planet and your garden at the same time. By providing the right nesting materials, plants and care to these important native pollinators, we can enhance the health and abundance of our gardens and restore habitat in urban environments!
